Future Plans

The below listed planned activities are in the pipeline for our community development program.  With your helping hand, we can realize our major objective of having an empowered community with self sustaining skills and quality life.

• Setting up KIPERUDI SACCO as a developmental supportive mechanism to the poor rural farmers. The SACCO will provide loans without interests to member farmer groups, to enable them grow on large scale. It will also keep custody of farmers’ savings that will be lent out at attract interests. After an agreed time period, the accumulated interests will be shared amongst members to boost their incomes.
• Establishing a produce value addition processing plant that will enable farmers attract better market prices out of their produce.
• Establishing KIPERUDI piggery and poultry projects. We intend to use the maize husks after processing as feeds for both our pigs and poultry. these projects will also act as demonstration farms for study and learning purposes.
• Procurement of a tractor. Although most farmers in Kibaale district and Bunyoro region at large own large chunks of land, most of the land is under-utilized. Most are involved in subsistence farming because they cannot afford improved technology for modernized commercial agriculture. This background informs our will to support farmers with a tractor to help them in large scale farming. The community member groups will only be required of fuel.
